‘IR NOWADAYS – IN THE EYE OF THE TIGER?’

The International Conference “IR NOWADAYS – IN THE EYE OF THE TIGER?” held in our country between 24 and 26 September, today presented its international guests and media partners with a round trip to some of the most beautiful places in our country, symbols of our culture and history – the old town quarter and Roman Theatre in Plovdiv, Bachkovo Monastery, King Asen's Fortress.. “IR NOWADAYS – IN THE EYE OF THE TIGER?” was organized by the Association of Bulgarian Investor Relations Directors (ABIRD) to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Annual IR awardswere also established for the first time. Among the major topics of the Conference are: Status, Priorities and Perspectives of the Bulgarian Capital Market; The Impact of Global Capital Flows on Emerging Markets; Why Digital Matters for Investor Relations?; IR Online; Electronic IR Website and the Center of Financial Communication Strategies; The Power of News, etc. Pelagia Viatcheva, Head of Investor Relations at Sopharma AD and Member of the ABIRD Board, moderatesthe Bulgarian IR panel: status and perspectives. The Conference "IR NOWADAYS – IN THE EYE OF THE TIGER?” was organized with the cooperation of some of the companies most active in investor relations in our country, such as IPREO, Bloomberg, Sopharma, Message, First Financial Brokerage House, INDUSTRIAL CAPITAL – HOLDING AD, Agria Group Holding JSC, STARA PLANINA HOLDING. The Association works to consolidate the interests and advance the qualification of its members, to improve the investment climate in Bulgaria and establish high performance standards of Bulgarian public companies towards investors in this country and abroad. At present, ABIRD unites approximately 100 investor relations directors of listed Bulgarian companies.
