A unique operation on hoisting and erection of a part of the structure of one of the building of the new site of Sopharma AD under construction took place on 06.08.2012.
The best Bulgarian sports shooters with pneumatic weapons will compete in the first edition of the Sopharma tournament between the 2nd and the 4th of November at Geo Milev Shooting Rangein Sofia. The competition is organized jointly by the pharmaceutical company and Levski-Sopharma Shooting Club, and besides the top shooters with pistols and rifles in men’s and women’s category, the competition will give a chance to the talents in boys’ and girls’ category.
The medicines will be used as aids to elderly people, who Karitas Sofia are taking care of, according to the Domestic Care Project for homeless people, who they help, as well as to be of assistance to people using psychoactive substances by means of the mobile cabinet for work on-site in Sofia.
The donation of analgesics, antibiotics, cardiovascular drugs, etc., is of great assistance to everyone who they are taking of. These people have no opportunity to buy themselves the medicines so much needed and they count only on the help of Karitas Sofia's teams.
The exhibition “Picasso: the eternal quest” was opened today in the National Art Gallery in Sofia and it will remain on display there until 25 January 2016. The exhibition was prepared especially for Bulgaria by the “Picasso” House-Museum in the painter’s hometown, Malaga, and was organized by the Embassy of Spainin Sofia, with the support of Sopharma AD.
Open discussion on Corporate Social Responsibility was held on 01.15.2014 at the Department of Economics of Sofia University. Leading companies - members of the UN Global Compact Network Bulgaria (BMGD) told about their projects developed to the benefit of society. Despite the upcoming session, 30 students asked questions to representatives of Sopharma, Contour Global, TNT and BMGD.
Bulgarian Donation Forum organized a donation and volunteer action in support of Syrian refugees in Bulgaria. Employees of Sopharma AD took part in this initiative, and just before Christmas the Comany made a donation of essential medicines. With the joint efforts of both organizations medicines, toys and shoes were supplied to the centres in Kovachevtsi, Ovcha Kupel and Vrazhdebna.

The idea is for the business to show the employees’ children, using specially developed programmes and games, why their parents’ labour is important. This year, the children will learn about 115 professions from more than 15 sectors of the economy.

On 05.02.2014, Invest Bulgaria Agency awarded for the eight time the “Investor of the Year” awards. The competition nominates and awards the projects with the most significant contribution in the various spheres of Bulgarian economy.
The award in the sphere of chemical industry was given to Sopharma for its new highly technological plant for solid dosage forms. It was built according to the European requirements for Good Manufacturing Practice, with warranted control and easy traceability of the manufacturing process at each stage.
